Civil engineering has been considered as the oldest engineering discipline and profession in the world. It is one of the major branch of engineering alongside of Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, and Aerospace. This field has been around for many centuries since human have the knowledge to build a structure to facilitate their needs. With more advancement in technology and studies, new division introduced such as material, forensic, safety and health, and survey.
Who’s behind the wonderful structures around us? The personal equipped with an adequate knowledge of theoretical and practical in civil engineering called Civil Engineers. They design and supervise the whole construction projects – designing, planning and managing. He or she must also consider many factors in the design process, from the construction costing and project time frame, to government regulations and possible environmental hazards such as natural disasters.
Furthermore, civil engineers also help to safeguard our environment by assisting in the cleaning up of existing pollution and finding ways to lessen it from our air, land and water. Therefore, Civil Engineers give us the Comfort and Quality of Life!
